Presentation!

A lot of issues exist in the GVC as a whole. Yes the online portion has various issues that may be different than the offline portion. However they all tend to have some types of issues. Lets talk about the OVC portions issues for now though.

When Ive asked around it is normally the heavy skeptics, trolls, and bullying that tends to make people check out or keep their mouth shut. People like to dismantle rather than discuss at times. Yes a lot do it once in awhile, a few do it often or all the time. Some people want to figure out how to fix it or solve it, or expect an elder or someone with a name to solve it rather than handling it on their own. One of the best tools one has in this social media world we find ourselves in, is the block button. If you really have such a problem, block them. Issue solved without any drama on your part.

Lately also some people seem to think the VC does not like new people, or they do not have a voice, or that they cannot do stuff without an elder. None of that is true. For new people it is of course how you come in and your actions. If you come in demanding respect…well you most likely will not get it for instance. So not only is some of the issue on the vc, but the newcomer as well at times.

You do not need an elder. You are your own person and can do stuff as well. Yes you will get some criticism, hopefully constructive, you will also get support, no support, told an idea is already done and to offer help to another project, etc. Most of it is not bad, and yes helping with a project also gets your name attached to it. Though I would hope that is not what one is after.

Having a voice, and an idea is also a lot about researching it, the past of the vc and if its been done, how its been done, etc. But even if you do that it is still about presentation! There is a big difference to how ones voice/idea will be received if you simply change a few words in the presentation! Always ask if you are unsure for clarification. Ask what someone means rather than assuming. Remember, not all attention is good attention. One should be after positive attention, action and change. Not the negative.

You do not need to belittle others, or how others run or do things. You do not need to prove a point. If you really want real change, or an idea you are passionate about for the right reasons..well where there is a will there is a way as they say.
